Ideas for the 4th

Looking through many of our favorite blogs, I've found some great ideas for the 4th of July.

We always have a big get together with lots of neighbors, friends and family on the 4th for some hot dogs and fireworks. Take a look at these great ideas I've found that I plan on trying to use this year:

First off, a vintage decorated table. I love anything vintage, so the theme and colors of this are right up my alley. Love, love what they did here.

Also, from the same great site I found some FREE awesome printables. Not only do I love this poster of Uncle Sam, but the colors are my fav. And they all match with the table setup.

And how cute are these little flags!
{And they give a great little tutorial on how to make them.}

Of course we need some tye-dyed cupcakes.
{I have made some similar to these when I did camo cupcakes for my sons Army Party. They really were easy and fun.}

These brownie kabobs look awesome and easy.
My husbands favorite, chocolate and strawberries.

And one more thing for the kiddos. What a great idea!

Have a fun and safe 4th!

Bandana Dress

Check out this totally cute bandana dress.
And believe it or not, it's super easy to make.
I'll give you a quick run down of how
to make one.

First, your going to take two bandanas
and about 2 1/2 - 3 yards of ribbon.
With the right side facing down, fold down and sew.
How wide this seam is, is going to be determined
by how wide your ribbon is.
Just eyeball it, it doesn't need to be exact.
This will be the top of the dress.
After you do that on both bandanas,
You will put the right sides together,
measure about 6 inches from the top
and sew the rest of the way down.
(This is for the arm holes)
Turn the dress inside out and
run the ribbon through the top
in the front and back, scrunch the fabric
together and tie the bows on each side.

Too cute? Now go make one!

All American Tutu

Here’s an All American tutu skirt that’s very cute
posted by Joy’s Hope.
She’s even got step by step instructions on how to do it,
so there’s no excuses for you now.

I can totally see this in any color or theme….
Maybe some yellow and white tulle.
Sunflower ribbon.
Or some pink and black.
maybe a few bows.
The wheels are spinning now…

Have a look, leave a comment, and then hop on over to Julie’s site
to see what else she’s got going on.

Also check out the adorable hair clips she makes
and sells in her shop on Etsy....
